Real Student Project
Making research accessible
Developed a website with free guides on how to get started in research.
Student Pseudonym:
Maya

We helped Maya file nonprofit paperwork
Maya was frustrated that high school research felt inaccessible to most. No one told her how to start. She’d managed to publish her own paper but wanted others to have an easier path. We helped her turn that frustration into a 501(c)(3) student-led nonprofit that creates simple, step-by-step guides to help teens start real academic projects.

We helped Maya secure $232,000
Once Maya's nonprofit was off the ground, we worked with her to professionalize her materials. We assisted in branding, design, and creating a clear curriculum. Then, we helped her craft a grant pitch highlighting systemic inequities in STEM. With our support, she secured $232,000 from Google.

We mentored Maya to scale to 208,000 students
Once Maya had the funding, we focused on growth. We helped her partner with research mentors, build a searchable resource site, and develop video tutorials explaining proposal writing and lab etiquette. Within a few years, her nonprofit had distributed free guides to over 208,000 students in 168 countries, thereby empowering teens everywhere to take their first step into research.
